Les Petite Jamelles Rose 2024 (6x750ml)
When we learned that Les Jamelles, one of our top selling French rosés, had a little sister, we couldn't wait to try it. We had high hopes and Les Petite Jamelles absolutely over-delivered. Previous vintages have picked up numerous Gold Medals, and we're sure that this new vintage will soon follow suit. Vinted from a blend of grenache and carignan, it's a fruity, fresh rosé with crunchy flavours in the red berry and grapefruit spectrum. It's absolutely delicious and well and truly over delivers on our $16.99 case price.
Tasting note
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit: "Pristine and delicate, the wine presents aromas of crunchy apple, nectarine, and lemon peel, with a hint of sweet strawberry. It's juicy and linear on the palate with fine texture and bright acidity, finishing crisp-dry and lingering. At its best: now to 2027."
Cameron Douglas MS: "Classic Provence hues of pale apricot lead to a bouquet and palate of apple and peach, a whisper of citrus and super fine fruit tannins. A dry wine with a plush and soft texture, a hint of tropical fruit and white pepper, plenty of acidity for freshness and balance. Best drinking from day of purchase through end of summer 2027."
The winery: "With its pale pink colour, this wine is brilliant in aspect. It is extremely fruity and fragrant, with powerful aromas of strawberry, sour cherry and grenadine along with citrus notes (pink grapefruit). It is extremely fresh and easy-drinking, bold, round and long on the palate with flavours reminiscent of fruit drop candies, peach and redcurrant, finishing on a note of grapefruit."
