Collaboration Impression Chardonnay 2025 (6x750ml)
Over the last decade, this wine has developed a huge following with our Chardonnay faithful, and we're stoked to have this wonderful 2025 vintage in stock. It's a lovely example of thoroughly modern, oak aged chardonnay from highly experienced Hawke's Bay winemaker, Julianne (Julz) Brogden. This wine walks the tightrope between power and elegance with real aplomb - melding opulent fruit weight and creamy mouthfeel with layers of vibrant acidity. Stone fruit, citrus and some touches of minerality build through the palate and the finish is both very refreshing and very long lasting.
Enjoy now, with or without food, over the coming 4-5 years.
Tasting note:
A classically styled, obviously well-made example of modern barrel-fermented chardonnay. Ripe and inviting on the nose with stonefruit, citrus and oak spice hints, the palate blossoms, developing those characters within a creamy, rounded framework, with plenty of fresh, citrus-led, acidity. The finish is impossibly long and bright - promising real cellar ability.
The winery writes: "90% Kokako Vineyard, Ohiti Valley 10% Ascot Vineyard, Havelock North. Pure, fresh & textural barrel aged Chardonnay. Bright, light yellow/green, it is mouthfilling and vibrant with hints of stonefruit and citrus. Creamy and textural with a refreshing dry mineral finish. Approachable and delicious."
