To create this harmonious blend, Arran's Single Malt undergoes an eight-year oak cask maturation before being refined in a handpicked collection of Sauternes wine casks. These sweet white wine casks from a skilled small producer are carefully chosen by our Master Distiller to combine the distinct characteristics of both the wine and whisky, resulting in a flawless union.

Tasting Notes

Up front on the nose are hints of acacia honey, but as it evolves, notes of apricots, bananas, and pears emerge. Over time, a graceful floral essence develops. The palate shows a sweet taste, but balanced with a touch of warmth from spices. When water is added, lemon zest becomes apparent and a subtle saltiness complements the whisky's sweetness. The finish is crisp, with flavours of Seville orange, Sauternes, and a touch of honey.
